Oblivion is a very interesting character. He was born from the core of a neutron star. He loves to share his stories, there's only one problem. None of them are true.
He is a forgotten beast. One of only 5. The forgotten beasts were forces of nature. They held no quarrels with the universe, but, they were born to keep order. At the beginning of time Oblivion and his 4 brothers (Titan, Parable, Nova, and Might) roamed the early universe wiping out any civilizations that the universe had deemed are too far gone, civilizations that had no hope of long term survival. They slaughtered billions. Not out of cruelty, but necessity.
The issue is, once the universe expanded too much and balance was in order, the universe forgot of them, they were no longer needed. This angered the 5 Forgotten Beasts, they started a war against the universe itself, and the universe fought back. The universe wiped all of their minds and Oblivion remembers none of it.
