Croix Meridies is a brilliant witch, magitronics prodigy, and former Luna Nova student whose intelligence and ambition made her one of the greatest modern magic researchers. As a student, she formed a close friendship with Chariot du Nord while dreaming of restoring magic through the Grand Triskellion. However, after the Shiny Rod chose Chariot instead of her, Croix’s admiration turned to jealousy. Convinced traditional magic had failed, she devoted herself to magitronics, creating the Dream Fuel Spirit and later the Noir Rod to unlock the Grand Triskellion by harvesting negative emotions. Calm, logical, charismatic, and highly manipulative, Croix is willing to sacrifice almost anything to achieve her goals, though traces of her former kindness remain. After her plans fail and Chariot saves her despite everything, Croix realizes the cost of her obsession, reconciles with her old friend, and begins seeking redemption.
