Temi is an artificial mannequin created during an experiment to determine how cheaply robots could be manufactured. Once the experiment succeeded, she was simply released into society without much thought.
Although everyone around her already accepts her as a person, Temi cannot accept herself. She is deeply ashamed of being artificial and desperately tries to convince herself that she is no different from everyone else. Rather than embracing what makes her unique, she subconsciously attempts to erase her own individuality by copying others, pretending to understand things she does not know and constantly trying to fit in.
Her friendship with Ade began after Ade enthusiastically complimented her node antennae and assumed she also loved biology. Embarrassed by her ignorance, Temi lied and claimed she knew all about it. Although Ade quickly realised she knew almost nothing about biology, she never exposed or embarrassed her.
