Terms and Conditions

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Redbean, including the Redbean mobile application, website, and related services (collectively, “Redbean” or the “Service”).

Redbean is provided by Tinai Pte. Ltd. (“Tinai,” “Redbean,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).

By downloading, accessing, or using Redbean, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use Redbean.

1. Eligibility

If you are under the age of majority in your country, you may use Redbean only with permission from a parent or legal guardian. By using Redbean, you represent that you meet these requirements.

2. Your Account

You may need an account to use certain Redbean features.

You are responsible for:

providing accurate account information;
keeping your login credentials secure;
all activity that occurs under your account;
notifying us if you believe your account has been accessed without authorization.

We may suspend or terminate your account if we believe you violated these Terms, created risk for Redbean or other users, or used the Service in a fraudulent, abusive, illegal, or harmful way.

3. Privacy

Your use of Redbean is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, share, retain, and delete personal information.

Please review the Privacy Policy carefully.

4. License to Use Redbean

Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Redbean for your own personal, non-commercial use.

You may not:

copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or sublicense Redbean;
reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract Redbean’s source code, except where prohibited by law;
use Redbean to build a competing product or service;
remove or alter proprietary notices;
misuse Redbean or interfere with its normal operation.

All rights not expressly granted to you are reserved by Tinai and its licensors.

5. User Content

Redbean allows you to create, upload, submit, generate, save, share, and publish content, including photos, drawings, prompts, character names, character descriptions, generated characters, game assets, rooms, towns, NPCs, stories, quests, dialogue, and other creative materials (“User Content”).

You retain any rights you have in your User Content.

By using Redbean, you grant Tinai a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, sublicensable, and transferable license to host, store, upload, reproduce, modify, adapt, process, generate, create derivative works from, display, publish, distribute, and otherwise use your User Content as needed to:

provide, operate, and improve Redbean;
process AI generation requests;
save and display your characters, worlds, and other creations;
enable sharing and public publishing features you choose to use;
provide support, safety, moderation, debugging, and security features;
comply with legal, platform, and app store requirements.

We will not intentionally make your private User Content public unless you choose to publish or share it, or unless disclosure is required for legal, safety, security, or enforcement reasons.

6. Your Responsibilities for User Content

You are responsible for your User Content and your use of Redbean.

You represent and warrant that:

you have the rights needed to upload, submit, generate, use, and share your User Content;
your User Content does not violate another person’s intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
your User Content does not violate these Terms or applicable law.

You should not upload private, sensitive, confidential, or personal information that you do not want processed by Redbean or its service providers.

7. AI Features and Generated Content

Redbean uses AI and automated systems to help generate characters, assets, worlds, dialogue, stories, and other content.

You understand and agree that:

AI-generated content may be inaccurate, unexpected, incomplete, offensive, or unsuitable;
AI-generated content may not be unique, and similar or identical content may be generated for other users;
we do not guarantee that AI-generated content is free from third-party rights;
you are responsible for reviewing and deciding how to use generated content;
we may refuse, block, remove, or modify generation requests or generated content for safety, legal, platform, product, or policy reasons.

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and applicable law, you may use content generated for you through Redbean. However, we do not guarantee that you will own exclusive rights in any AI-generated content.

8. Public Pages and Sharing

Redbean may allow you to publish or share characters, worlds, profiles, or other creations publicly.

If you choose to publish or share content publicly, you understand that:

the content may be visible to anyone;
the content may appear on public webpages;
the content may be indexed by search engines;
other users may view, share, save, or link to the content;
deleting or unpublishing content from Redbean may not remove copies from search engines, caches, screenshots, archives, or third-party services.

Do not publish content that you do not have the right to share or that you do not want others to see.

9. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Redbean to create, upload, generate, publish, share, or promote content or activity that:

is illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful;
infringes intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
impersonates another person or misrepresents your identity;
contains malware, spyware, or other harmful code;
exploits, harms, sexualizes, or endangers minors;
promotes hate, harassment, abuse, threats, or violence;
contains sexually explicit content involving minors or non-consensual sexual content;
reveals private personal information about another person without permission;
promotes self-harm, suicide, eating disorders, or dangerous behavior;
attempts to bypass safety systems, moderation systems, payment systems, usage limits, or security controls;
scrapes, crawls, or extracts data from Redbean without permission;
interferes with or disrupts Redbean or its infrastructure;
violates applicable law, app store rules, or third-party platform rules.

We may remove content, limit features, suspend accounts, or terminate access if we believe these Terms have been violated.

10. Subscriptions, Purchases, and Billing

Redbean may offer paid subscriptions, in-app purchases, credits, or other paid features.

When you purchase through Apple App Store or Google Play, your purchase is processed by the applicable app store. Your purchase is also subject to the payment terms, subscription rules, refund policies, and account settings of the applicable app store.

We do not receive your full payment card details from Apple App Store or Google Play.

Subscription details, including price, billing period, included benefits, and renewal terms, will be shown before purchase in the app or applicable app store purchase flow.

Unless canceled, subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period. You can manage or cancel your subscription through your Apple App Store or Google Play account settings.

Deleting the Redbean app or deleting your Redbean account does not automatically cancel your subscription. You must cancel your subscription through the platform where you purchased it.

11. Free Trials, Promotions, and Price Changes

We may offer free trials, discounts, promotional offers, or limited-time benefits. Eligibility and terms may vary by user, country, platform, and offer.

If a free trial converts into a paid subscription, the app store purchase flow will disclose the applicable terms before you confirm the purchase.

We may change subscription prices or benefits from time to time. Price changes for existing subscribers will be handled according to applicable law and the rules of the app store or payment provider.

12. Credits and Usage Limits

Redbean may use credits, generation allowances, or other usage limits for certain features.

Unless otherwise stated in the app:

credits are not money and have no cash value;
credits cannot be sold, transferred, exchanged, or redeemed for cash;
subscription credits renew each billing period;
unused subscription credits do not roll over after the billing period ends;
credits may expire if your subscription ends, your account is terminated, or the relevant feature is discontinued;
we may limit, reverse, or revoke credits in cases of fraud, abuse, technical error, refunds, chargebacks, or violations of these Terms.

Credits are deducted after content has been generated and, where applicable, validated. Additional processing may still be required before the content is available to you. Requests that fail before credits are deducted do not consume credits. Internal retries of the same generation job do not incur additional credit charges. If a later processing step fails after credits have been deducted, credits are not automatically returned. If you believe credits were deducted incorrectly or you cannot access the generated content, contact us at help@redbean.ai for assistance.

13. Refunds

Refunds for purchases made through Apple App Store or Google Play are generally handled by the applicable app store according to its policies.

We may provide support for purchase or entitlement issues, but we may not be able to issue refunds directly for purchases processed by Apple App Store or Google Play.

14. App Stores and Third-Party Platforms

If you download Redbean from Apple App Store, Google Play, or another third-party platform, your use of Redbean may also be subject to that platform’s terms and policies.

The app stores are not responsible for providing support, maintenance, or warranty services for Redbean, except where required by applicable law or their own terms.

15. Third-Party Services and Links

Redbean may link to or integrate with third-party websites, communities, platforms, tools, or services. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services.

Your use of third-party services is governed by their own terms and policies.

16. Ownership of Redbean

Redbean, including the app, software, technology, designs, trademarks, logos, systems, databases, and other materials, is owned by Tinai or its licensors.

Except for the limited license granted to you in these Terms, we do not grant you any rights in Redbean or our intellectual property.

17. Feedback

If you provide feedback, ideas, suggestions, or comments about Redbean, you grant us the right to use them without restriction or compensation to you.

18. Service Changes and Availability

We may modify, suspend, limit, or discontinue Redbean or any feature at any time.

We do not guarantee that Redbean will always be available, uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. Some features may require an internet connection, compatible device, supported operating system, or active subscription.

19. Termination

You may stop using Redbean at any time.

We may suspend or terminate your access to Redbean if:

you violate these Terms;
your use creates risk or potential legal exposure for us or others;
we are required to do so by law, platform rules, or app store rules;
we discontinue the Service or a material part of it.

Upon termination, your right to use Redbean will end. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply, including sections about ownership, User Content licenses, public content, payments, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law.

20. Disclaimers

Redbean is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, or statutory, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and reliability.

We do not guarantee that:

Redbean will meet your expectations;
generated content will be accurate, unique, safe, or suitable for your intended use;
the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free;
defects will be corrected;
content will always be available or preserved.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain disclaimers, so some of the above may not apply to you.

21. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Tinai and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, service providers, and affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business opportunities.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to Redbean or these Terms will not exceed the greater of:

the amount you paid to us for Redbean in the 12 months before the claim; or
USD 100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations of liability, so some of the above may not apply to you.

22. Indemnity

To the maximum extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tinai and its officers, directors, employees, contractors, service providers, and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, losses, costs, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising from or related to:

your use of Redbean;
your User Content;
your violation of these Terms;
your violation of applicable law;
your violation of another person’s rights.

23. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore, unless the laws of your country of residence require otherwise.

Nothing in these Terms limits any consumer rights you may have under applicable law.

24. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we may notify you by posting the updated Terms in the app, on our website, or through other appropriate means.

The updated Terms will be effective when posted unless otherwise stated. Your continued use of Redbean after the updated Terms become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
