Dispatch Roleplay Game on Mobile 2026? Let’s Build & Play Your Own Hero OC
TL;DR: There’s no official Dispatch roleplay game on mobile for iOS & Android users, and Season 2 is still unconfirmed. If you want to keep playing with the Z-Team, Redbean is a free alternative option where you can recreate Robert, Blonde Blazer and Invisigal from images, build your own Phoenix Program OC, and play new stories in your own superhero world.
Why fans are looking for another Dispatch Roleplay #
Dispatch is a narrative-driven adventure game described as a superhero workplace comedy from AdHoc Studio, a team that includes former Telltale writers. You play Robert Robertson III, the former Mecha Man, who loses his suit to the villain Shroud and takes a desk job sending a squad of reformed villains, the Z-Team, out on emergency calls.

Released in eight episodes from October 2025, it has sold over four million copies on PC, PS5, Switch and Xbox. Fans are actively discussing Dispatch Season 2, but AdHoc Studio has not confirmed yet.
So the fandom keeps the story going itself. AO3 lists more than 7,600 Dispatch works, about 800 of them post-canon. Some of them host AI roleplays with Blonde Blazer and Robert bots on chatbot platforms, or join fan-made Dispatch roleplay experiences on Roblox. Chatbots stop at a chat window, fanfic stays on the page, and group roleplay needs a full table of players, none of them let you live alongside the cast or play the story your own way.

The Rest of the Z-Team
The Phoenix Program roster also includes Sonar, who switches between bat forms, Prism and her illusions, Malevola, Punch Up, and Golem. Waterboy, a hero in training, and Phenomaman, Blazer’s ex, are the two possible late recruits.
Popular ships and relationships #
Relationship (Shipping) splits between the two paths: canon romance and fan favorites (fanon/non-canon pairings).
- InvisiMech (Robert × Invisigal) is the top canon ship, loved for its slow-burn trust and a “reformed ex-villain meets burnt-out mentor” dynamic.
- MechaBlazer (Blonde Blazer × Robert) is the other canon route for fans who prefer a brighter boss-to-partner romance. This ship represents the “healthy” choice, and fans think it is the most narrative-fitting path for Robert to finally move past his hero persona.
- On the fanon side, Flambert (Robert × Flambae) is the most-written pairing on AO3, built on classic “enemies-to-lovers” tension, while Robert and other Z-Team members carry the found-family stories.
- Self-insert fans have their own corner too: AO3 has several Dispatch x reader works, with Robert, Sonar and Waterboy among the most-searched picks.
Dispatch Roleplay Game: How to Build and Play With Your Z-Team in Redbean #
Redbean is a playground for user-created characters and a free mobile life simulation-RPG sandbox with no hero-dispatch map, where your Dispatch cast and OCs live in a town you build. Turn an image into a playable pixel character with a unique persona. Build and design your own town, create interactive storytelling and a chat-based roleplaying experience with your own characters. The game has no connection to AdHoc Studio or any official version of Dispatch on mobile.
Dispatch OC Maker: Design Your Hero OC #
A massive portion of the OCs created belong to the Phoenix Program’s Z-Team. To create your own Dispatch OC as a Typical Z-Team Member, follow the cast’s formula:
- A villain past and a reason to reform.
- One clear power with a cost, like Chase’s speed aging him faster.
- Two strengths and one weakness from the game’s five hero stats: Combat, Vigor, Mobility, Intellect and Charisma.
Example: Static, an ex-Red Ring getaway driver who shorts out electronics, strong in Mobility and Intellect, weak in Charisma.
Turn Your Dispatch OC into a Playable Character in Redbean #
- Upload your Dispatch OC fan art, a sketch or image, and it becomes a playable pixel character that can move and talk.
- Write a persona, lore and speaking style, hero stat or anything that makes it unique, like Static’s fast talk full of car metaphors. You can restyle the look anytime with a new picture or a short prompt.
- Give them a name and a role in your town, then play them as your main character or make them an NPC.
- Add a pet made the same way, such as Beef for Robert.

Build Your Superhero Town and Recreate the Z-Team #
- Recreate Robert, Mandy, Invisigal, and build your whole Z-Team just from images, as characters or NPCs with their own personalities.
- Restyle your town in any theme: Describe a theme like “Bright comic-book colors with bold outlines” then make your own furniture in buildings just from a photo or a few words: the SDN dispatch floor, Robert’s apartment, a villain bar.
- Share your town or visit towns created by others.
You can also build your own Alternative Universe (AU) Z-Teams or an entirely new fictional branch of the Superhero Dispatch Network (SDN) with characters from other fandoms (for example: Project Hail Mary’s Rocky or Killers OC from Forsaken).
Dispatch Roleplay: Story, Dialogue and Relationships #
The original game only gives you dialogue choices as Robert. In this version of Dispatch roleplay game, you write your own lines and can play as anyone: Invisigal, Blonde Blazer, your Hero OC, or a new dispatcher for a Dispatch x reader story. In Redbean, you can:
- Define characters’ personalities, roles, and backstories: they react and interact as who you write them to be.
- Set free-form relationships, like Chase as Robert’s mentor or Flambae as a rival who has his back, shift with what you say. Build up relationships with your characters through interaction and conversation.
- Play your own scenario: recreate the original story or write your own Season 2. Describe a scene and Redbean turns it into quests that you can do with NPCs.
A scene to try: The Red Ring hit the SDN call center overnight. Royd needs parts from his lab across town, Chase has to walk an injured Waterboy home, and Blonde Blazer wants the break room fixed before the morning shift.

- Build a living town with your Superheroes: Place Robert next to Invisigal and they meet and talk on their own. Gift items to Blonde Blazer and see her react naturally. Characters wander around town, interact with each other, and continue living when you’re not there.
FAQ #
Is Dispatch a roleplaying game? #
Dispatch is an episodic narrative adventure, not a traditional RPG. You play one fixed character, Robert, and your dialogue choices shape relationships and the ending, such as whether Invisigal ends as a hero or villain. There’s no character creation or freeform roleplay, which is why fans turn to fanfic, tabletop sessions or sandbox apps.
Can you play Dispatch on mobile? #
As of October 2026, Dispatch has no native iOS or Android app. It’s officially on PC, PS5, Switch and Xbox, but you can stream it to a phone through Amazon Luna (included with Prime since July 2026) or Xbox Cloud Gaming. Redbean (free on iOS & Android) is a separate app for roleplaying with Dispatch characters, not a port of the game.
Will there be a Dispatch Season 2? #
Dispatch Season 2 hasn’t been announced yet. The last episodes were labeled a “Season Finale,” and AdHoc’s team has said they are actively considering a follow-up season. For now, the studio’s announced plans are a physical edition with a vinyl soundtrack in Q4 2026 and a game set in Critical Role’s Exandria.
What is Redbean? Can I create Mecha Man or the Z-Team in Redbean? #
Redbean is a free mobile life simulation-RPG sandbox for OC/fandom creators and roleplayers. You can create a pixel version of Robert, Mandy, Invisigal and the rest of the Z-Team from an image or sketch, give each a persona and speaking style, and turn them into playable characters in your own story. Every recreation is fan-made.
Besides Dispatch characters, can I create other characters in Redbean? #
Yes. You can bring original characters or favorite characters from games, anime or shows you love, and many players build crossover towns where several fandoms share one map. For example, your Dispatch OC can live alongside Project Hail Mary’s Rocky or characters from The Walten Files. Check out Redbean’s Character Gallery for more character and OC inspirations.
Your Z-Team Doesn’t Have to Wait for Season 2 #
Season 2 has no date yet, but your Z-Team can keep clocking in. Recreate the squad with your own recruit and run your own Dispatch roleplay game between shifts.
